“The raid is done based on reports from the citizens who told about illegal parking in those locations which often caused traffic congestion,” stated Head of West Jakarta Transportation Sub-Department Monitoring and Control Section, Imam Slamet.
From 43 cars controlled, Slamet continued, the officers ticketed 18 car owners, removed tire valves of 22 cars, as well as towed two box cars and one private car.
16 Vehicles in N. Jakarta Towed Within 5 Days“There are not much cars towed because we only have one towing car. So, we had to take action by removing tire valves and giving tickets,” he explained.
In order to get more optimal results, Slamet hopes his party could get additional towing cars because illegal parking is rampant in West Jakarta.
