109 Buildings on Grogol Riverbank Demolished

As many as 109 buildings located along the bank of Grogol River, Palmerah Urban Village, Palmerah Sub-District, West Jakarta, are finally demolished, Tuesday (9/16), by West Jakarta Administration for the construction of Jalan Inspeksi Kali Gorogol inspection road. Those buildings were spread in five RWs, namely RW 01, 02, 03, 07, and 08.

Responding the demolition, hundreds of residents whose buildings demolished threaten to sue West Jakarta Administration to State Administrative Court (PTUN).

“For certified buildings, we will certainly follow it up. Please proceed it,” he stated.
About the demolition, an excavator and hundreds of personnel from Satpol PP and TNI/police are deployed to the location. Until this afternoon, the demolition is still ongoing smoothly. Some of the residents are also seen demolished their buildings themselves.
