The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD)'s Draft Regulation concerning the Code of Conduct (tatib) containing 20 chapters and 214 articles, finally ratified in the plenary meeting led by Jakarta DPRD Chairman Prasetio Edi Marsudi, on Wednesday (2/19).

Initially there were only 187 articles but was reduced to 12 after being evaluated by the Ministry of Home.

Council to Soon Set Committee for Vice Governor Election

"Observing the ministry's correction results, one of them contains material for the election of the governor and deputy governor by the council whose term of office more than 18 months must be listed in the tatib. It refers to the Government Regulation number 12/2018 on the Guidelines for the Arrangement of the Tatib for the Provincial, Regency and City Councils," he expressed, at City Council Building.

His party had held a joint leaders meeting (Rapimgab) on February 17-18 and decided to ratify the tatib today through plenary meeting.

"We expressed appreciation for the team that performed their duties well," he explained.

On the other hand, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan was grateful for this ratification. Thus, it allowed the trial in the council to run quickly, effectively and efficiently and has a legal basis.

"With this tatib, all empty components can be fulfilled," he furthered.

Hopefully, after this, the vice governor election could be realized on the target.

"So the election committee can soon work and complete the vice governor election. We are waiting for the results," he stated.
