Plenary meeting will be held today

The code of conduct (Tatib) drafting for vice governor election period 2017-2022 will refer to the recommendations of the Home Ministry.

Jakarta DPRD Chairman Prasetio Edi Marsudi said tatib drafting is set to be executed after the ministry's recommendations regarding tatib ratification discussion at the city council joint leaders meeting (Rapimgab) and passed through the plenary meeting.

"Plenary meeting will be held today," he expressed, after a meeting about third amendment schedule for tatib ratification 2019-2024 period, Tuesday (2/18).

He targets to finish the stage of vice governor election in the first week of March.

"There are two candidates proposed by the bearer party. Predictably, early March, vice governor would be formed," he explained.

In the meantime, Jakarta DPRD Bamus Vice Chairperson Mohamad Taufik agreed to the Rapimgab to discuss the results of the ministry's evaluation on the draft DPRD regulation regarding the tatib being carried out today at 1 PM.

"The discussion results will be brought to the plenary meeting to ask for approval of the leadership and council members," he told.

Initially, he explained, the tatib and vice governor election proposal was done separately. But the ministry wanted to conduct it simultaneously.

"So, after tatib ratification, we will do vice governor election," he said.
