Jakarta Flooded, Anies Urges His Staffs to Help the Community

As reported earlier, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) warned that heavy rain would continue in Greater Jakarta throughout Tuesday (2/25) early morning.

According to them, until Tuesday at 7 AM, station areas with extreme rainfall (> 150 mm/day) were increasing in seven stations, namely Kemayoran Meteorological Station (278 mm/day), Pulo Gadung Sluice Gate (260 mm/day), Pulomas (245 mm/day), Manggarai (209 mm/day), Halim Pk (205 mm/day), Sunter Timur I Kodamar (165 mm/day), Setiabudi Timur (150 mm/day).
Seeing this, Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan urged all staffs to help in handling floods and the citizens in the field.

He also stressed that citizens could always get update information continuously.
"The most important thing is the security, safety and health of the mother/father, all work to help the citizens. May Allah give the ease and give a blessing to all our efforts in tackling this situation. Amen," he stated.
Aside that, the Jakarta Provincial Government also reminded the entire community to always be aware of the dangers of electricity and fallen trees in extreme rain conditions, as well as take care of themselves, either those who are at home or on the streets. Considering the BMKG predicted that Jakarta and its surrounding areas were still facing moderate to heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds.
