South Thousand Islands Sub-district apparatuses continue to monitor cleanliness in coastal areas of Tidung Island, Untung Jawa Island, and Pari Island.

South Thousand Island Sub-district Deputy Head, Hendri Sembiring conveyed, his side is prioritizing to monitor the cleanliness, especially in coastal area to give impression of being clean and comfortable.

"We want to ensure the inhabited islands, especially on its coastal area to always clean from garbage," he stated, Wednesday (2/26).    

Moreover, his side also ensures waste shredder machine (elbox) to be functioned again thus waste that can't be processed and recycled to be shredded using ebox.

Thousand Islands Environment Sub-department Head, Djoko Rianto Budi Harsono conveyed, his side will re-identify elbox machine in each urban villages since his side hasn't operated that machine for a long time ago.

"We will identify those machines and repair the damaged ones," he asserted.
