2015 APBD Will Hit Rp 80 Trillion, Ahok Says

The amount of 2015 APBD will increase about 9.7 percent from Silpa and tax revenue

Jakarta Vice Governor, Basuki 'Ahok' T Purnama is targeting the 2015 City Budget (APBD) could hit Rp 80 trillion, and then would increase to Rp 100 trillion in 2016.

The former regent of East Belitung said the 2015 APBD is predicted to reach Rp 80 trillion from budget surplus (Silpa) of 2014 APBD Amendment amounting to Rp 72.9 trillion. "The amount of 2015 APBD will increase about 9.7 percent from Silpa and tax revenue," he stated, at City Hall, Thursday (9/25).

APBD Absorption still Below 30 Percent

He explains additional budget next year is prioritized to increase the employees performance under the city administration.

"We prioritize to the civil servant's Performance Allowance (TKD) serving the public. We hope the amount will reach more than Rp 12 million," he explained.

In addition, he plans to use the 2015 APBD for repairing damaged roads, adding Transjakarta bus corridors, improving infrastructures, as well as normalizing river and reservoir.

Basuki continued the budget would also be allocated for program of Jakarta Smart Card (KJP). "In our data, 40 percent of children in age of 14-16 years old cannot continue their education, especially those from lower-income family," he uttered.
