PD Pasar Jaya Ready to Widen Blok G Market Parking Lot

One of the reasons why Blok G Market, Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta, is deserted from buyers is lack of parking space for the visitors. To resolve the matter, PD Pasar Jaya admitted ready to buy the residents’ land located behind the market to be used as parking lot.

Since there is no parking space, many visitors go away and cancel their plan to shop in Blok G Market

“We’re still looking for land to widen the parking lot in Blok G Market area. If there were residents willing to sell their land (around the market), we’ll buy it. Besides, this year we get money from PMP (Government Capital Shares for as much as Rp 170 billion),” stated PD Pasar Jaya President Director, Djangga Lubis, Sunday (9/28).

According to Lubis, the existing Blok G Market parking lot is no longer able to accommodate visitors’ vehicles because it is already full of motorcycles belong to the traders.

“I’ve told it, the parking lot in Blok G Market area should have not filled with traders’ motorcycles. Since there is no parking space, many visitors go away and cancel their plan to shop in Blok G Market,” he said.
