PPKUKM Agency Supplies One Million Masks

Those masks are produced by small factories in Jakarta and some industries in Bandung and Tangerang

The Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Industry and Trade (PPKUKM) Agency supplies one million masks to be distributed to markets managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya, including JakMart in the next two weeks.

"Those masks are produced by small factories in Jakarta and some industries in Bandung and Tangerang," expressed Jakarta PPKUKM Agency Head, Elisabeth Ratu Rante Allo, Thursday (3/19).

She explains, the Jakarta Provincial Government restricts the purchase of masks to five pieces for each special consumer at JakMart Store and 20 masks in the markets managed by Perumda Pasar Jaya every day.

"For Jakmart Outlet, the selling price is Rp 1,950 per mask. Then in the market, 20 masks are for one customer with ID card at a price of Rp 2,500 per mask," she explained.

She added the availability of masks is restricted according to the rules, specifically for the community and does not serve large numbers of corporations.

"Currently the city is making efforts to stabilize the price of masks by distributing stock through Perumda Pasar Jaya, including Jakmart," he stated.
