Classrooms Burned, SDN 11 Tebet Timur Students Relocated

Tens of State Elementary School (SDN) 11 Pagi, Tebet Timur, South Jakarta, are relocated to the nearest school after their school building burned few days ago.

“We have prepared temporary relocation for students whose classrooms burned. They will be placed in the nearest three SDNs. Learning and teaching activities must stay running so the students won’t miss their study,” stated Head of South Jakarta Elementary Education Sub-Department, Didi Sugandi, Monday (9/29).

Based on the data gathered by the school, there are 88 students from first grade to sixth grade to be relocated. For first, second, and third grade students, they will be relocated to SDN 18 Tebet Timur, while fourth graders will be accommodated in SDN 17 Tebet Timur. As for fifth and sixth grade students, they will be studying temporarily in SDN 19 Tebet Timur.

“The principal will give directions to all students and their parents that the learning and teaching activities will be diverted to those three schools starting tomorrow, Tuesday (9/30),” he uttered.

For information, the building of SDN 11 Tebet Timur was burned on Saturday (9/27) afternoon around 4.30 PM. As many as five classrooms were ravaged by fire, but fortunately the important documents in teachers’ room and principal’s room could be saved from the fire.
