Food Supply in Jakarta are Safe Ahead of Ramadan

Ahead of Ramadan 1441 Hijri, Jakarta Provincial Government ensures food supplies in Jakarta are safe.

No panic buying please

Jakarta Secretary's Economy and Financial Assistant, Sri Haryati through related regional-owned enterprises (BUMD) in food sector, consisting of PT. Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, PD. Dharma Jaya, and Perumda Pasar Jaya conveyed that food supplies and distributions are going well.

"We will ensure to facilitate residents to get various food commodities in affordable prices," she asserted, Monday (6/4).

Pasar Jaya Ensures Food Supplies are Safe

According to her, it is important to ensure food availability with an affordable price especially ahead of religious holiday.

"It isn't only during COVID-19 emergency period, but we will continue to ensure food availability at affordable prices," she stated.

Moreover, she continued, stability of food prices at affordable price will prevent high inflation.

"We ensure you that we always restock staple foods continuously from number of local suppliers," she added.

But, her side reminded people not to do excessive buying for fulfilling their daily basic needs, since food supply availability is still running normally.

"No panic buying please," she closed.
