Checkpoints in Jakarta Border Areas Guarded for 24 Hours During PSBB

Number of checkpoints in Jakarta, especially at the borders, are heavily guarded for 24 hours during Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB).

In West Jakarta, the regional Transportation Sub-agency (Sudinhub) Head, Erwansyah mentioned, there are 3 checkpoints in border areas that located near the suburbs. Each checkpoints are located in Kalideres that borders Tangerang City, and also Karang Tengah and Alfa Indah Park in Kembangan Sub-district which border Ciledug, Tangerang.
His personnel will be on guard to ensure all vehicles and public transport fleets which pass through the border areas to reduce number of passengers by 50 percent of transport's capacity. For example, sedan vehicle that has four-passenger capacity only allowed to carry two passengers (including driver) in a car.

In the other hand, motorcyclist is allowed to ride with a passenger as long as they have a same address on their ID card (KTP). Moreover, they also required to wear face mask.
"We are on standby at the checkpoints for 24 hours. Passengers or vehicle owners who do not comply the regulation will be forced to get off to find another vehicles," he asserted, Monday (4/13).
According to him, his side cooperates with related institutions such as TNI/police to guard the checkpoints and socialize people about Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 33/2020 concerning Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) Implementation in Handling COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta Province.
"We deploy 6 personnel and there are around 8 or 9 TNI/police personnel who help us in each checkpoints," he explained.
