Satpol PP Continues to Optimize PSBB Monitoring

Jakarta Satpol PP continues to optimally monitor the implementation of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) in the capital.

On the fourth day, it is intensified in areas of store, shopping center and office in Hayam Wuruk, Glodok, Mangga Dua and Gajah Mada areas.

"We send 80 personnel of Satpol PP assisted by army and police to the field," expressed Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin, Monday (4/13).

He explained any businesses that break the Gubernatorial Regulation number 33/2020 are forced to close by giving a dossier (BAP) and continued coordination with the authorities for further action.

"There are still many trade activities that break the regulation," he explained.

During the operation, they gave explanation to the owners and business actors what types of businesses were allowed and not allowed to operate during the PSBB.

"We tell them that PSSB will be ongoing to April 23. We ask them (business owners) to lay off their employees at home," he stressed.

He added the regulation itself was referring to Law number 6/2018 on health prosperity.

"Violators will be in charged under a maximum fine of Rp 100 million or one year imprisonment. This is for our common good," he said.
