Here is Mechanism of Social Aid During PSBB in Jakarta

For those of you who meet the criteria, but have not yet registered or do not have Jakarta ID Card, you can report to the local RW

The Jakarta Social Agency is implementing a social aid program during the large-scale social restrictions (PSBB), aimed at the poor and vulnerable poor who are affected by COVID-19. It is targeted to 1.2 million households in Jakarta. This social aid is distributed every day, from April 9 to 24.

4,000 Social Aid Packages Delivered to South Jakarta People

According to Irmansyah, Head of Jakarta Social Agency, poor citizens in Jakarta area who receive the aid, including:

• Citizens or communities recorded in the Integrated Data of Social Welfare (DTKS)

• Existing aid recipients of Jakarta Social Welfare Card (KJP Plus, KJMU, Jakarta Elderly Card, Jakarta Disability Card, Card for Fulfilling Children's Basic Needs (KSD), PMT-AS and Jakarta Cheap Food)

• Income of less than Rp 5 million per month

• Laid off workers or housed with reduced or no salary

• Close business or cannot sell again

• Low income due to the COVID-19 pandemic

The PSBB COVID-19 social aid program is given to citizens who meet these criteria and enter data collection with domiciles in Jakarta area. To find out the list of recipients' names, they can contact the Social Agency's call center (021) 426 5115 or through the local RW management.

"For those of you who meet the criteria, but have not yet registered or do not have Jakarta ID Card, you can report to the local RW to then fill out the social aid application form and must attach a domicile certificate from local RT chairmen, including a layoff letter from the company or work from home," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Further, he explained that the mechanism for distributing social aid was carried out through delivery methods to the address of the recipient's residence. Each RW chairman will verify the recipient's data and send it to the door to door using the physical distancing protocol.

By so, local officers are required to oversee the distribution of social aid and collaborate with the army and police in security and order, including disciplining the community in implementing rules when outside the home (wearing masks and maintaining physical distance) during this process until it is finished.
