Officers Expected to Monitor PSBB Actively in Inhabited Islands

Thousand Islands Vice Regent, Junaedi expected officers of the Task Force for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling in DKI Jakarta Province to continue to enforce the Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) by monitoring inhabited islands night and day.

According to him, monitoring carried out by task force team was quite effective to prevent people from doing outdoor activities.

"We handle all the violators in a persuasive way, through socialization and warning," he conveyed when led the evaluation meeting with Task Force for the Acceleration of COVID-19 Handling at Mitra Praja Office, North Jakarta, Monday (4/13).

In monitoring, officers patrol using boats, operational vehicles, and walk while using loudspeaker to warn the residents to comply with the regulations during PSBB.

"We need their assistance to continue monitoring inhabited islands thus green zone in Thousand Islands can be maintained," he stated.

In Thousand Islands, there are 140 residents with people under investigation (ODP) status and 13 residents with patients under investigation (PDP) status from total 9 inhabited islands.

From that data, he informed, only Kelapa Dua Island and Payung Island that have no ODP and PDP.

 

"We hope that number can continue to decline, because officers always monitor their health condition, especially to 13 patients under investigation," he said.

During the evaluation meeting, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supriyadi mentioned, his side had found a group of youngsters who gathered without using face mask around field area of Untung Jawa Island.

"Officers punish them to do push-up for deterrent effect and educate them about the danger of coronavirus if it spreads in Thousand Islands," he conveyed.
