Anies Appreciates PMI for Sterilizing Areas Within the City

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan appreciated Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) for sterilizing areas in Jakarta using condensation technology.

We will make sure to discipline them by imposing sanctions, such as revoke their business license, and others. Once again, it is important to protect all citizens. It has nothing to do with government's interest or private interest. It is for the sake of all citizens. We want to protect everyone by reducing activities outside and staying at home. I hope all parties to obey it, thus we don't have to give sanction," he explained.
In the other hand, PMI Chairman, Muhammad Jusuf Kalla expected, sterilization carried out by PMI could reduce the risk of COVID-19 transmission in capital city of Jakarta. According to him, sterilization is one efforts which carried out in many countries affected by COVID-19.
"Our teams were sent off to help Jakarta Governor to sterilize the city. Because with sterilization, at least we can reduce the risk. Even so, we must continue to carry out mitigation. It is carried out by almost all countries to overcome this pandemic. Besides, it is also important for us to maintain distance with others, wash our hands, wear face mask, and stay at home," he closed.
