As many as 296 funeral workers who work at public cemetery (TPU) in Central Jakarta are required to wear personal protective equipment (APD) while working during COVID-19 pandemic in Jakarta.

Central Jakarta Park and Urban Forest Sub-agency Head, Mila Ananda stated, her side instructed funeral workers to wear APD consisting face mask, gloves, long-sleeved clothes, trousers, hat, and boots.

Each public cemetery has around 74 workers who work as grave diggers, ambulance drivers, cleaning service (janitors), administration, maintenance, and security.
"They also work in shift during Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) period. Those who are working should maintain physical distance and wear APD," she said.
