MRT Jakarta Kembali Menambah Peniadaan Operasional Stasiun

Next Monday, MRT will Close Senayan and Benhil Stations

PT. MRT Jakarta (Perseroda) will close two other stations starting Monday (4/27). Those are Senayan Station and Bendungan Hilir (Benhil) Station.

This policy is carried out to support Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation in Jakarta

Previously, MRT has also closed temporarily 5 stations, namely Haji Nawi Station, Blok A Station, ASEAN Station, Istora Station, and Setiabudi Station.

"This policy is carried out to support Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) implementation in Jakarta," stated Muhammad Effendi, PT. MRT Jakarta Operational and Maintenance Director, on Saturday (4/25).

Due to this policy, starting next Monday (4/27), MRT train only stops at Lebak Bulus Station, Fatmawati Station, Cipete Raya Station, Blok M Station, Dukuh Atas Station, and Bundaran HI Station.

"Passengers can continue their trip by taking Transjakarta feeder bus from the nearest MRT stations that are still operating. Transjakarta feeder bus operate from 6 AM to 6 PM to facilitate MRT Jakarta passengers," he informed.

During PSBB period, he explained, PT. MRT Jakarta still operates at 6 AM - 6 PM, applies headway time 30 minutes, limits passengers up to 60 people in a train car, and requires passengers to wear face masks, applies physical distancing as well as personal hygiene.

"PT. MRT Jakarta fully supports government's policies in order to prevent COVID-19 transmission by encouraging people to work, study, and perform prayers from home," he asserted.
