Illegal Parking Raid Netted 514 Vehicles

As much as 514 vehicles were ticketed since the running of illegal parking raid and maximum fine applied by East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department. From the total, 5 public transportation operation were stopped due to expire documents.

Head of East Jakarta Transportation Sub-department, Benhard Hutajulu, explained the number of vehicles which netted shows the citizens are not yet discipline. Especially in complying with traffic regulations. In fact, the illegal parking raid has often been performed at some points.

"There are 514 vehicles ticketed since the application of maximum fine on September 8." said Benhard, Thursday (10/2).

801 PMKS in East Jakarta Netted

Of 514 vehicles, 18 private vehicles were towed to Pulogebang Goods and Pool Terminal, Cakung, East Jakarta. Then 211 vehicles' valve (car and motorcycle) were revoked, and 280 vehicles got direct ticket by police personnel.

Not only that, 5 public transportation operation were stopped due to expire KIR document. Those are Metromini Kampung Melayu-Cibinong route, BBG Bajaj, KWK 16 route Cililitan-Cibubur, two Mikrolet M 06A (Kampung Melayu-Gandaria).

According to him, they can take the vehicles after completing the documents. It is hoped the action could give deterrent effect for the violators.
