Access to Thousand Islands is Still Tightened

Until today there are still no passenger pick-up activities

Jakarta Transportation Agency is still tightening its access to Thousand Islands region through the Kaliadem Port, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

Regional Port Operator Unit (UPPD)'s Muara Angke Port Head Yose Rizal said it is done by adopting health protocol standards, which are part of the implementation of large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). This condition also implements in all ports in Thousand Islands.

"Until today there are still no passenger pick-up activities," he expressed, Sunday (5/10).

According to him, following the Transportation Minister's decision that re-allows the operation of sea, land and air transportation through certain requirements, his party is still waiting for a derivative decision from Transportation Agency in its implementation.

For shipping activities at the Muara Angke Port, the port only operates KM Arwana vessel to transport logistic and other vessels under Transportation Agency to carry nurses and doctors on duty in Thousand Islands.

"So far passengers still follow the health protocol and must complete a letter of assignment, but until now no activities at all," he stated.
