Pasar Seni Ancol to Hold Online Discussion

Corona Disease (COVID-19) pandemic in Indonesia affects the cultural art industry actors. Because in this pandemic period, they are demanded to be more creative in looking for a way to make activities in art sector to remain active and play a positive role.

While arranging the new protocols to manage the spaces after the pandemic ended

Regarding to this case, Pasar Seni Ancol plans to hold online discussion by inviting cultural art managements in Indonesia in an event called 'Collective Healing in Arts and Cultural Space' on next Monday (5/18) at 10 AM – 12:30 PM.

Ancol Art Market Director, Mia Maria mentioned, in this event, her side wants to discuss the role of arts and cultural space in the community for recovery from trauma and pandemic impacts.

"Other topics that will be discussed is related to the new strategies in managing art spaces and its program to recover the community through art and cultural space. While arranging the new protocols to manage the spaces after the pandemic ended and how the needs of architectural space in public spaces," she mentioned, Tuesday (5/12).

Furthermore, her side will also discuss about ways to identify trauma, new habits after the pandemic, and make art and cultural space as a platform for social trauma recovery.

"We invited three speakers in this discussion; Kartika Jahja, the founder of Ruang Selatan and Bersama Project as the gender equality advocacy foundation through creative work; David Irianto, the Co-Founder of Greatmind.id & Simpul Group; Cocurator IdeaFest; TEDxJakarta; Pear Press; and Imelda Akmal, the Founder of Imelda Akmal Architecturural Writer Studio (IAAW)," she explained.
