Central Jakarta Monitors Food Stocks and Prices at Johar Baru Market

Ahead of Eid, Central Jakarta Government monitored food stocks and prices at Johar Baru Market.

From this monitoring, there is no significant increase in most food commodities

Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Irwandi mentioned, his side found increase and decrease in food prices at Johar Baru Market. For example, chicken price increases from Rp 32,000 to Rp 35,000 per head and curly red chili from Rp 20,000 to Rp 25,000 per kg. While eggs price from Rp 22,000 decreases into Rp 20,000 per kg.  

"From this monitoring, there is no significant increase in most food commodities. Only several items such as chicken and chili prices," he conveyed, Thursday (5/14).

Food Station Keeps Prioritizing Food Needs Ahead of Eid ul-Fitr

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency Head, Suharini Eliawati stated, food stocks are safe until Eid.

"Food stocks are safe until Eid, thus we hope there is no panic buying because all commodities are available," she asserted.
