"If we take the wisdom of this Ramadan and Eid, this is an extraordinary one, which may have never been in our entire lives. We can perform Eid prayers together with family fervently. Hopefully it will be cohesiveness, solidarity, intimacy, unity, harmony and solidarity for the family and will bring positive impact thus the nation is also more harmonious and peaceful," he stated.
He also appealed that Jakarta people continue to comply with all the provisions that apply to this third phase of the PSBB, including when carrying out the Eid tradition this year. Hopefully people can take advantage of existing digital technology, to facilitate communication over long distances, especially in touch with family, friends or colleagues.
"We didn't go anywhere on the first and second days. We invite all citizens not to leave the house, do silaturahmi and Eid greetings via video conference, zooming, etc," he told.
He also asserted that it was one of the ways for this PSBB to become the final. Thus Jakarta could enter the recovery and normalization phase.
"Hence, all citizens must be more obedient, obedient and disciplined. After the PSBB ends, we will enter a period of recovery and normalization. Where we all come back to life normally with the COVID-19 health protocols which are also more stringent," he explained.
"My hope is citizens to be more patient, calm, and we join in praying. And we have mobilized all media partners in Jakarta area to help. Hopefully citizens can also help and pray. Just believe, we can get through this together and return to normal life," continued.
He also appreciated citizens who celebrate Eid at home and comply with PSBB rules.
