Hundreds of personnel under Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) are tightening security against people who have left Jakarta to return without an Exit and Entry Permit (SIKM).

According to Syafrin Liputo, Head of Jakarta Transportation Agency, as many as 366 personnel were alerted at 15 checkpoints spread over the capital city.
"Each checkpoint enforces three shifts, with details first shift: 7 AM to 3 PM, second shift: 3 PM to 11 PM and third shift at 11 PM to 7 AM," he expressed, Wednesday (5/27).

"Three other are at Gambir Train Station, Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Pulogebang Terminal and Tanjung Priok Port," he explained.
He explained, SIKM was made to monitor post-Eid al-Fitr traffic during the designation of COVID-19 as a national disaster in accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation number 47/2020 on travel limitations out of and into Greater Jakarta.
"Our men will check every driver heading to Jakarta. If they do not have SIKM, they must turn back. Surely it needs to be aware, considering there has been a decline in transmission in Jakarta," he added.
