Dikmental and Religious Communities Set Protocols at Worship Places

Jakarta Secretariat Mental and Spiritual Education (Dikmental) Bureau has coordinated with all religious communities in Jakarta including MUI, PGI, Jakarta Archdiocese, PHDI, Walubi and Matakin, related to the religious activities that will be reopened at worship places.

We have prepared procedures to perform prayers according to health protocols

Jakarta Dikmental Bureau Head, Hendra Hidayat stated, coordination is needed to set the written technical guidelines in performing prayers for each religious community in accordance with health protocol.

"We have prepared procedures to perform prayers according to health protocols in order to prevent and break the chain of COVID-19 transmission," he mentioned, Tuesday (6/2).

Dikmental Tells Muslims in Jakarta to Hold Eid Al-Fitr Prayers at Home

One of the preparations before reopening the worship places is to spray the worship places with disinfectant.

"We want all communities to perform prayers safely and comfortably at the worship places," he said.

According to him, people who pray at the worship places should wear mask and maintain physical distance with the others.

"We hope residents can follow the health protocols while praying," he closed.
