For those of you motorists passing on Jalan Penyelesaian Tomang, Meruya Utara Urban Village, Kembangan Sub-District, West Jakarta, please always be vigilant and extra careful because the road is severely damaged, especially near a minimart. This is because a channel manhole alongside the road has damaged and caused potholes. 

The road is very crowded by vehicles. Due to lack of lighting, the place is prone to accident and motorcycle theft

Based on beritajakarta.com observations, local citizens had to install a bamboo pole in order to prevent unwanted things. Moreover, the place is dark at night due to lack of lighting.

Zarkasi, (49), a stall owner in front of Jalan Penyelesaian Tomang said that the damaged channel manhole has been in exist since three months ago. "The manhole was actually repaired before and damaged again. Perhaps, it caused with disorganized repair," he expressed, Tuesday (10/7).

He hoped related unit to immediately repair the channel's manhole and install street light alongside the road. "The road is very crowded by vehicles. Due to lack of lighting, the place is prone to accident and motorcycle theft," he expressed.

Head of Kembangan Sub-District, Slamet Riyadi expressed his side has received complaints from locals and has been reported to the Road Public Works Sub-Department to repair such manhole soon.

"As for the repair work, is the authority of Road Public Works Sub-Department," he told.

Similar condition is also spotted along Pesing Flyover, ranging from Cengkareng towards Gorgol. There are potholes measuring approximately 30x30 centimeters with 10 centimeters deep.  

Besides potholes, the flyover condition is dirtied by plastic trash and dust.
