Dishub Rejects 44,000 Vehicles Without SIKM to Enter and Exit Jakarta

From May 27 to June 8, Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has turned away 44,000 vehicles without Exit-Entry Permit (SIKM) from outside Jabodetabek and vice versa.

Tens thousands vehicles were turned back from 11 checkpoints across Jabodetabek border areas

Jakarta Dishub Head, Syafrin Liputo informed, his side has turned away around 2,000 public vehicle fleets, 24,000 four-wheeled vehicles, and 18,000 two-wheeled vehicles.

"Tens thousands vehicles were turned back from 11 checkpoints across Jabodetabek border areas," he conveyed, Tuesday (6/9).

According to him, Dishub also checked for travelers without SIKM who use public transport, both airplane, train, and bus, at several checkpoints.

"221 people have been sent to quarantine sites prepared by Task Force Units in each municipalities to do self-quarantine for 14 days. Travelers without SIKM who enter Jakarta through Soekarno Hatta Airport will be sent to quarantine site in West Jakarta. For those who enter through Gambir Station will be sent to quarantine site in Central Jakarta, while the others will be sent to quarantine sites in East Jakarta," he explained.

Sanctions regarding SIKM violations are regulated in Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 41/2020 concerning Imposition of Sanctions Against PSBB Violations in Handling COVID-19 in DKI Jakarta.

"Those who violate the regulation should be quarantined for 14 days. Task force units in each municipalities have prepared the quarantine sites for them," he closed.
