COVID-19, Harapan Island Begins Distributing Social Aid to its Citizens

"It is because business actors are not ready to accept tourist visits," he expressed, Wednesday (6/10).

Aside that, they are also not ready to implement the health protocol so they are worried that COVID-19 will be spread. Moreover, many elderly people on Harapan Island are still prone to this disease.

"For those who will open up tourism businesses, integrity pacts are prepared in accordance with the attachment to the Tourism Agency's decree. Thus they are truly responsible for following health protocols properly," he explained.

Nevertheless, he and tourism business actors have yet to confirm when they can start opening tourist visits. Thus they decided to continuously supervise and control the region, especially at the entrances of Harapan Island.

"We will wait until the conditions are completely safe from COVID-19 thus we can still maintain the green zone," he stated.
