Satpol PP Records 6,431 Violations on June 4-16

In the transition period for Large-scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) in Jakarta, Satpol PP has recorded 6,431 violations on June 4-16, 2020.

PSBB regulations apply to all Jakarta residents without exception

Jakarta Satpol PP Head, Arifin stated, monitoring was done in various places, including public places. While sanctions were divided into written reprimand, fine, and social sanction.

"We have given written reprimands to 21 violators, imposed fines on 727 violators and social sanctions on 5,683 violators. Sanctions are imposed in accordance with Gubernatorial Regulations (Pergub) No. 41/2020," he explained, Wednesday (6/17).

For business places, he continued, most of them were not carrying out a full COVID-19 prevention protocols. Whereas individual violations were dominated by violators who didn't wear mask when going outside.

"In total, we collect fines as much as Rp 206,650,000. It consists of Rp 128,150,000 for individual fines and Rp 78,500,000 for public facilities. All is transferred to the regional treasury," he stated.

According to him, continuous monitoring must be carried out to discipline all citizens to ensure health protocols are implemented well in order to curb the spread of COVID-19 in Jakarta.

"PSBB regulations apply to all Jakarta residents without exception. Those who violate it will get sanction. All residents should implement health protocols well to prevent COVID-19 transmission," he closed.
