PT Transjakarta to Manage the Tourism Double-decker Bus

Jakarta Provincial Government will hand out the management and procurement of tourism double-decker bus to PT Transjakarta starting next year. At this time, the management is still under Jakarta Tourism and Culture Department.

Besides handling management, Basuki disclosed that PT Transjakarta will also add more tourism double-decker buses which now there are only five of them.
City Gears Up to Build 50 New SPBGs“We want to add about a hundred more tourism double-decker buses next year. This year we don’t buy it, but we’ll get about 20-30 buses from private parties. The buses are Mercedes-Benz,” he said.
According to Basuki, the route of tourism double-decker bus, which previously operated from HI Roundabout to Pasar Baru, will be extended in line with the implementation of Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) and meter parking in the capital city. However, the route will be different to the route of double-decker bus provided by Jakarta Provincial Government on ERP lanes.
“The route of five tourism double-decker buses will be extended to Ratu Plaza or Senayan City,” he explained.
