Transjakarta Opens Two Free Kota Tua Shuttle Bus Routes

PT. Transjakarta operates two free shuttle bus services for museum routes in Kota Tua, West Jakarta. Those are GR 4 (Taman Kota Intan - Museum Bahari) and GR 5 (Kota Tua Explorer).

PT. Transjakarta Corporate Secretary and Public Relation Division Head, Nadia Diposanjoyo mentioned, those routes operate every day from 9 AM to 5 PM.

"We prepare 4 minitrans units with capacity 15 seats per bus and 2 low entry metrotrans with capacity 30 seats per bus with headway about 10-20 minutes," she explained, Monday (6/22).

According to her, passengers can take a ride for those routes for free but they should tap on bus using electronic money cards issued by leading banks in Indonesia and later it will be charged zero rupiah rate.

Here are the routes that serve Kota Tua area as mentioned above;

GR4 Shuttle Bus Route;

Kota Intan - Museum Bahari 2 - Simpang Pakin 2 - Simpang Pakin 3 - Gedong Panjang Gas Station (SPBU)- Gedong Panjang 2 - BRI Jakarta Kota - Simpang Kota Roa Malaka - Kota Intan Bridge - Kota Intan.

GR5 Shuttle Bus Route;

Kota Intan - Kota Intan Park - BNI 46 - Glodok Plaza - Kali Besar Barat 1 - Kota Intan Shadow Terminal.

Transjakarta also continues to implement health protocols during transitional period of PSBB. It includes operational health and safety protocols for Transjakarta employees and passengers such as sanitation, bus hygiene, and BRT bus stops which cleaned before and after use.

"Also, self-protection protocols for our employees and passengers that require them to wear masks and maintain physical distance in queuing or sitting in the bus," he mentioned.

There are things that should be obeyed by Transjakarta users in bus stops and on the bus. First, Transjakarta users should be in healthy state and fit with normal body temperature. Officers on duty will not allow people with body temperature above 37 degrees Celsius to enter the bus.

Second, minimum distance between people who are queuing is one-arm or 1.5 meters. Third, the bus stop's maximum capacity is 50 percent from normal days. It means, when it has reached maximum capacity, bus stop will be closed and Transjakarta users should queue outside of bus stop. According to her, it is better to queue outside than inside of bus stops to prevent COVID-19 transmission. Bus stop will be opened again when the capacity is available.

"Fourth, we remind people to use mask any time you leave the house, at bus stop or on the bus. Fifth, please do not jostle when entering bus," she closed.
