City Managed to Reduce COVID-19 Red Zone in RW Areas

Jakarta Provincial Government Bureau Head Premi Lasari revealed the city administration has provenly reduced the COVID-19 red zone in RW areas.

In total, until today, 27 RWs are included in red zone

He disclosed, based on data as of June 19, as many as 61 out of 66 RWs in Jakarta are free from red zone. Nevertheless, there are still 22 RWs categorized in red zone.

"In total, until today, 27 RWs are included in red zone. We continue to do various efforts to minimize it," he expressed, Thursday (6/25).

Local-scale Social Restrictions Carried Out at 15 RWs in North Jakarta

He explained, efforts are being made, such as the implementation of tight control area policies (WPK) or local-scale social restrictions (PSBL) in 27 RWs for two weeks, which take place from June 19 to July 2.

"We do tracking, health tests, treatment and isolation, as well as reporting and monitoring evaluations," he explained.

He added the city urges all elements of society in the red zone to work together to stop the chain of COVID-19 transmission.

"So, the completion of the COVID-19 pandemic in Jakarta can run optimally," he closed.
