Thousands of residents thronged the weekly Car Free Day on Jalan Bina Marga Cipayung, East Jakarta, Sunday (6/28) morning. Since 5.30 AM, children to adults seemed enthusiastic about exercising and cycling on this street.

Cipayung Sub-district Head Fajar Eko Satrio said the street is used for Car Free Day up to 1.1 kilometers, precisely from the Mc Donald intersection to the Cipayung Sluice Gate.

Car Free Day to Hit Streets in East Jakarta This Coming SundayEven he promised to make it as a routine activity every Sunday after collecting citizens' aspirations during the event.
"This morning their enthusiasm is very high and they need sports facilities like this," he stressed.
To provide safety and comfort, they were urged to continue to implement the COVID-19 preventive health protocol. Even, at the location, his side provided six portable sinks plus medical workers and one unit of ambulance in order to anticipate unwanted things.
