Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Cases as of June 28


The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of June 28.

1,322 are still being treated in hospital

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated there were an additional 132 positive cases. In total, there were 10,985 positive people in Jakarta, with details 5,865 were declared cured and 635 died.

"1,322 are still being treated in hospital and 3,163 are undergoing self-isolation at home," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

As for the number of individuals being monitored (ODP) reached 26,534 people, while 17,574 patients were under surveillance (PDP).

She added the city had also increased the inspection capacity of the RT-PCR method, which is by building a COVID-19 Satellite Laboratory, located in a part of the Pasar Minggu RSUD area since April 9 and developing a network with 41 COVID-19 inspection laboratories.

While the cumulative PCR test conducted in Jakarta up to June 27 were 289,922 samples. While the PCR test as of June 27, as many as 3,952 people underwent the test. As many as 3,091 tests were done to confirm the diagnosis in new cases where 132 were positive and 2,959 were negative.

In total, as many as 230,795 people had undergone the rapid test, with details 8,074 people having reactive coronavirus and 222,721 people were non-reactive. For the positive cases, it was handled through swab test via PCR. If the results were positive, the patients would be referred to the homestead athlete, hospital or undergo a self-isolation at home.

"We also urge all people to always comply with health protocols, which are using masks, always washing hands with soap and running water or using a hand sanitizer and maintaining physical distancing up to 1.5-2 meters," she uttered.
