Jakarta's Latest Official COVID-19 Cases as of June 22

1,308 are still being treated in hospital

The Jakarta COVID-19 Quick Handling Task Force announces the latest information of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases as of June 22.

Jakarta Health Agency's Disease Prevention and Control Division Head, Dwi Oktavia Tatri Lestari stated there were an additional 127 positive cases. In total, there were 9,957 positive people in Jakarta, with details 5,128 were declared cured and 618 died.

"1,308 are still being treated in hospital and 2,900 are undergoing self-isolation at home," she expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

As for the number of individuals being monitored (ODP) reached 24,422 people, while 16,736 patients were under surveillance (PDP).

She added the city had also increased the inspection capacity of the RT-PCR method, which is by building a COVID-19 Satellite Laboratory, located in a part of the Pasar Minggu RSUD area since April 9 and developing a network with 41 COVID-19 inspection laboratories.

While the cumulative PCR test conducted in Jakarta up to June 21 were 251,265 samples. While the PCR test as of June 21, as many as 3,231 people underwent the test. As many as 2,635 tests were done to confirm the diagnosis in new cases where 127 were positive and 2,508 were negative.

Then the testing rate for PCR examination in Jakarta was 10,587 tests per 1 million populations. In the past one-week period, there were 1,863 tests per 1 million populations, more than the WHO target of 1,000 tests per 1 million population.

In total, as many as 196,340 people had undergone the rapid test, with details 7,100 people having reactive coronavirus and 189,240 people were non-reactive. For the positive cases, it was handled through swab test via PCR. If the results were positive, the patients would be referred to the homestead athlete, hospital or undergo a self-isolation at home.

During this transitional PSBB, vigilance must be increased. The Jakarta Provincial Government urges the public to take part in the COVID-19 risk perception survey, which can be accessed at s.id/resikocovid.

"The completed survey can be input for the city government in improving the handling of COVID-19 in the future," he added.
