Eco-friendly Shopping Bags Socialization has Been Carried Out in 730 Minimarkets

East Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency intensifies socialization about eco-friendly shopping bags (KBRL) usage to the residents ahead of its implementation starting July 1, 2020.

We hope all residents can comply with this policy starting Wednesday (7/1)

East Jakarta LH Sub-agency Head, Herwansyah conveyed, his side had socialized KBRL since January 2020 in total 730 minimarkets and 23 traditional markets. This socialization was carried out in accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 142/2019 concerning Obligation to Use Eco-friendly Shopping Bags.

"We hope all residents can comply with this policy starting Wednesday (7/1)," he said, Tuesday (6/30).

South Jakartans Encouraged to Support Eco-friendly Bags Usage

On the 1st July, he planned to monitor directly KBRL implementation on the field. His side could report any minimarket or traditional market that violate the policy to the PTSP that can lead to revocation of their business permit according to the applicable regulations.

"Thus we remind residents and business owners for not providing plastic bags but eco-friendly shopping bags to support a better environment," he asserted.
