KPKP Agency Holds Fresh Food Inspection in 5 Supermarkets in South Jakarta

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency conducted integrated fresh food inspection in five supermarkets in South Jakarta. Those were Ranc Market Pondok Indah, Lottemart Gandaria, Primo Cilandak, Galael Tebet, and Transmart Cilandak.

We're testing 118 samples and all of them are negative of formalin and pesticide residue.

Food inspection was carried out by taking samples on fresh foods from agricultural products such as large red chili, curly chili, red cayenne pepper, green cayenne pepper, shallot, garlic, cabbage, chicory, choy sum, broccoli, Chinese long beans, water spinach, leek, apple, orange, and grape.

As well as fishery products such as fish, squid, shrimp, and processed food from fish. While for livestock products such as ground beef, ground chicken, and innards.

KPKP Holds Food Inspection in 10 Supermarkets

Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Darjamuni mentioned, for agricultural products, his side wanted to test formalin content and pesticide residues. Then for fishery products, his side tested for formalin content, while for livestock products included eber and formalin content tests.

"We're testing 118 samples and all of them are negative of formalin and pesticide residue. It means all fresh foods are safe for consumption from the sample testing," he stated, Friday (7/3).

His side encouraged Jakarta residents, especially South Jakartans for not to be afraid in consuming fresh food because KPKP Agency would carry out food inspection routinely.

He also expected food suppliers in those five supermarkets to continue in supplying fresh products that are safe for consumption.

"To all supermarkets, thank you for your support by bearing all cost of purchasing the samples which taken for laboratory testing," he closed.
