KPKP will Deploy Hundreds Personnel to Check Sacrificial Animals' Health

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency will deploy 498 personnel to check sacrificial animals' health and its meat for Eid al-Adha.

We will take samples for zoonotic disease surveillance from D-12 until the day of Eid al-Adha

Jakarta KPKP Agency Head, Darjamuni mentioned, they consisted of 397 civil apparatuses (PNS) and 101 other individual service providers (PJLP) or non-PNS personnel.

"We also deploy 76 personnel from Jakarta PDHI and 10 personnel from Agriculture Ministry. In total, there are 548 personnel who will check sacrificial animals' health and meat in Jakarta," he conveyed, Thursday (7/2).

Ahead of Eid al-Adha that will be celebrated on July 31, KPKP is making standard operating procedures for sacrificial guidelines, preparing sacrificial animal shelters and slaughterhouses, and making an educational video on the simulation of slaughtering sacrificial animals.

"We will take samples for zoonotic disease surveillance from D-12 until the day of Eid al-Adha," he mentioned.

Because it is still in the COVID-19 pandemic, his side will issue a special policy regarding Eid al-Adha. His side also urges people to optimize selling sacrificial animals via online.

"Sacrificial animal slaughtering in densely populated areas and red zones will be referred to slaughterhouses and slaughtering facilities. We also coordinate with mayors and regents to determine sacrificial animal shelters and slaughterhouses," he conveyed.
