KBRL Usage Monitored in Kebon Jeruk Sub-district

Joint personnel deployed to monitor the use of eco-friendly shopping bags (KBRL) in Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, West Jakarta by targeting convenience stores, shopping centers, supermarkets, and traditional markets.

We will continue to monitor KBRL usage within this month

Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Finance Section Head, Andreas Hendra Setiawan stated, today personnel deployed to monitor KBRL usage at Kebon Jeruk Urban Village and Sukabumi Selatan Urban Village.

"We monitor KBRL implementation in 10 convenience stores to ensure whether the store provides disposable plastic bags or not. The result, none of them provides disposable plastic bags," he asserted, Wednesday (7/8).

East Jakarta LH Monitors the Use of KBRL in 23 Locations

According to him, those convenience stores also provide eco-friendly bags with price about Rp 4,000 - 5,000.

"We will continue to monitor KBRL usage within this month," he stated.

For information, obligation to use KBRL in Jakarta is in accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation (Pergub) No. 142/2019 concerning the Obligation to Use Eco-friendly Shopping Bags in Shopping Centers, Supermarkets, and Traditional Markets.
