Qurban Animal Examination in Central Jakarta Begins July 20

Its execution includes the age and health of sacrificial animals and animal healthcare certificates (SKKH)

Central Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency is going to conduct qurban animals examination in its region on July 20.

It is conducted to ensure the condition of animals safe for consumption during the celebration of Idul Adha, which falls on 31 July.

"Its execution includes the age and health of sacrificial animals and animal healthcare certificates (SKKH)," expressed Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Suharini Eliawati, Wednesday (7/8).

In addition, on July 13 and 15, his sub-agency would also conduct surveillance of anthrax on qurban animals with a target of 100 animals. Last year, in Central Jakarta, as many as 7,287 animals had passed through examination stage from 151 animal slaughterhouses.

"Until now we're still recording the number of slaughterhouses and qurban animals this year," he stated.
