Vice Governor Urges City/Regency Council Members to Socialize Health Protocols Massively

They have a duty to always encourage and socialize health protocols

Jakarta Vice Governor Ahmad Riza Patria (Ariza), attended the Gathering and Ceremony of Council Communication Forum at city/regency level for period 2019-2024 at Great Hall, Jakarta City Hall, on Thursday (7/9) evening.

On that occasion, he stated, the city/regency council had a strategic role as a representative of community leaders who were urgently needed in dealing with the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.

"They have a duty to always encourage and socialize health protocols, specially 3M movement in the community, that is using masks, washing hands and maintaining social distancing. They can also participate and mobilize all the potential that exists in the community in an effort to speed up the handling of the pandemic," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Thereby he appealed them to continue to synergize and become good partners in providing input or aspirations from the community to the Mayor or Administrative Regent. Thus it could realize the effectiveness and efficiency of the development and public services.

"I also believe in their ability to run duties well," he stressed.

At the same time, he also received a one-year performance report submitted by the City/Regent Council Communication Forum Chairperson Hairul Hidayat. This report aimed to provide performance transparency to the public as an assessment to improve performance in the coming year.

Besides the vice governor, there were also Government Secretariat Assistant, Artal Reswan; Jakarta Government Bureau Head, Premi Lasari; as well as mayors and administrative regents.
