National Children Day 2020, PPAPP Holds Various Virtual Competitions

Jakarta Empowerment, Children Protection, and Population Control (PPAPP) Agency held various virtual competitions in commemorating National Children's Day (HAN) which falls on July 23, 2020.

Jakarta PPAPP Agency Head, Tuty Kusumawati mentioned, her side will hold poetry contest for children, as well as choir, dancing, and Tiktok competitions. All competitions are open to public and free of charge.
The registration has been opened since July 9 until July 19. Everyone can join this event, especially for children under 18 years with domicile in Jakarta.
PPAPP Distributed Special Assistance for Women and ChildrenFor children's poetry, choir, and dance competitions, participant should record their performance and post or upload it on their YouTube or Instagram accounts. While for Tiktok competition, participant should upload it on their Tiktok accounts. In their post, they should write on the caption: #AnakIndonesiaGembiraDiRumah #SenyumAnakJakarta #HANDKI2020.
"Participants should follow and tag Instagram account @dppappdki. The winners will be announced on July 23, 2020 in conjunction with the National Children's Day," she explained, Wednesday (7/15).
Until this day, there are 30 registrants for choir competition, 38 registrants for dancing competition, 43 registrants for poetry competition, and 134 registrants for Tiktok competition. There is no limit on number of people who want to participate in these competitions because PPAPP's target is to enliven National Children's Day in social media by showing children's joy while showing their creativity and talents from home.
Her side holds competition as Jakarta Government's concerns towards children and families who spent a lot of time at home during the pandemic.
"We want to remind them about children's rights, ensure their rights are fulfilled by participating in the National Children's Day," she added.
Points that will be judged in the competitions are participant's techniques, creativity, expression, exploration, theme suitability, solidarity, and how the video is taken.
"We don't want to burden participants by requiring them to rental costumes or sophisticated editing, but only their creativity is enough. Importantly, we want to explore their creativity and give children opportunity to explore and express their talents through this event," she said.
