Vice Governor Hopes MPLS and MATSAMA can Foster Student's Enthusiasm for Learning

In the opening of Introduction to School Environment (MPLS) and Ta'aruf Period for Madrasah Students (MATSAMA), Jakarta Vice Governor, Ahmad Riza Patria delivered his remarks online to the representatives of students, teachers, and student's parents in his official home in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Monday (7/13).
He hopes MPLS and MATSAMA activities can motivate and build communication for a tough collaboration in completing a good quality education for all.

In accordance with Education Head Decree No. 467/2020 concerning Education Calendar for Academic Year 2020/2021, the preparation to start teaching and learning activities for this academic year will be different with the previous academic year. Due to COVID-19 pandemic, teaching and learning activities in Jakarta is carried out with Distance Learning (PJJ) system since March 16, 2020. Entering the academic year of 2020/2021, PJJ continues to be applied for teaching and learning activities.
His side hopes all related apparatuses in MPLS and MATSAMA activities to always uphold the principles and objectives, as well as discipline in implementing health protocols.
"COVID-19 pandemic is not over and number of the case is increasing from time to time. We are concerned that Indonesia is now ranked 26th for the COVID-19 cases in the world and Jakarta still ranks second for this case," he conveyed.
Although learning activities are done remotely, he reminds all students to remain enthusiastic as the next generation of the nation.
"In the hands of our children, the future hope of this nation. Hopefully, students can still participate in school activities even though it is done remotely. However, I will make sure our children can get a good knowledge, good learning," he stated.
MPLS and MATSAMA for academic year 2020/2021 are carried out for three days, from July 13 to July 15, 2020 which time is adjusted according to the level of education. Detailed information regarding MPLS and MATSAMA activities can be accessed from site siapbelajar.jakarta.go.id
This activity was attended by 500 participants, including KPAI Commissioners; Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah; Jakarta Deputy Governor of Population and Settlement Control Division, Sri Suhartini; Head of Religion Ministry for Jakarta Regional Office, Saiful Mujab.
