KPKP Distributes 1,050 Kilograms Rice Seeds for Free

From January to July 2020, Seed Development Center and Plant Protection Unit of Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Agency has distributed 1,050 kilograms rice seeds for free.

During the pandemic, we also prepare free rice seeds for residents and farmer groups

Jakarta KPKP Agency Seed Development Center and Plant Protection Unit Head, Ali Nurdin conveyed, his side has distributed 1,050 kilograms rice seeds to farmer groups in Jakarta.

"It takes around 20 kilograms rice seeds for 1 hectare land. Thus 1,050 kilograms rice seeds can be used to grow rice in 52 hectares land," he said, Thursday (7/16).

Ariza Assures Food Security Program Continues Despite the Pandemic

According to him, rice seeds were distributed for free to support the needs and welfare of residents or farmer groups.

"During the pandemic, we also prepare free rice seeds for residents and farmer groups to help them who want to grow rice," he mentioned.
