Central Jakarta Reactivates Checkpoint Posts in 44 Urban Villages

The Central Jakarta administration has reactivated the checkpoint posts at the urban village level.

All posts must be activated to control people who break the rules amid COVID-19 outbreak

According to Irwandi, Vice Mayor of Central Jakarta, the post should be activated always in the transitional large-scale social restrictions (PSBB). Its existence was expected to make residents in their areas comply with the PSBB rules.

To get the optimal results, he expressed, the COVID-19 Handling Task Force team would monitor them in order to stop the spread of coronavirus transmission.

"Our team will monitor any activities at the checkpoint posts spread across 44 urban villages," he stated.
