On Eid al-Adha or last Friday (7/31), South Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-agency recorded total waste volume in South Jakarta reached 1,253.88 tons.

South Jakarta LH Sub-agency Head, M. Amin considered, this number has decreased compared to normal days that could reach 1,700-1,800 tons a day.
On Eid al-Adha, his side deployed 92 personnel to clean up waste in several points in South Jakarta.

According to him, decrease in the volume of waste during Eid al-Adha is caused by many factors. One of them because some residents returned to their hometowns on that day.
"The collected waste are transported by hundreds trucks to Bantar Gebang. Everything can still be handled properly," he conveyed.
