West Jakarta PMI Distributes Portable Sinks

West Jakarta PMI distributed assistance in form of portable sinks from International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in two locations, Kebon Jeruk Park and Kedoya Selatan Urban Village.
We place the portable sinks in public areas
West Jakarta PMI Head, Baharuddin mentioned, this assistance was given to support 3M implementation (washing hands with soap, wearing mask, and maintaining safe distance) in order to prevent COVID-19 transmission.
According to him, this assistance can be also used to educate people thus they can get used to wash hands before and after doing activities.
Public Facilities and Infrastructure on Kelapa Island Sprayed with Disinfectant"We place the portable sinks in public areas such as markets, parks, urban village offices, worship places, schools and others," he said, Monday (8/3).
This assistance is consisting of water tanks with capacity 300 liter each, hand soaps, and washing hand procedures. It will be provided in 56 urban village areas. While location of those portable sinks will be decided by local urban village heads.
In the other hand, Kedoya Selatan Urban Village Head, Marwan Saari appreciated West Jakarta PMI for their contribution in handling COVID-19 pandemic.
"They help us a lot. From disinfectant spraying, staple food distribution, and providing disinfectant liquid. Now, they provide portable sinks for us. Thank you for the assistance," he closed.
