Companies must Be Cooperative to Report COVID-19 Cases

"Thank you. Let us improve the coordination between Metal Workers and other workers. You can coordinate it directly with the related agency to ensure that you are actively involved with the existing program and we need input both directly and indirectly," he said as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Release.

Meanwhile, Andri Yansyah added that so far, his side has designed several programs to improve the welfare of trade unions.

"We have designed Jakpreneur. For those who have been trained will be upgraded to e-order training. Thus all activities in Nakertrans and Energy Agency can order the food from trade unions that have been trained in Jakpreneur. However, due to COVID-19, all programs are hampered and postponed," he mentioned.

In the other hand, Nakertrans and Energy Agency together with FSPMI have pioneered the Metal Maju Bersama Cooperative (KMMB) which launched by Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan in August 2019.

"We are currently working on programs for 2021. Each program must be ensured to involve P3KP team, consisting of Acceleration of Worker Welfare Program Development. Insya Allah, if COVID-19 pandemic situation is under control, we will intensively improve the workers' welfare," he asserted.

For information, Jakarta Government has launched Jakarta Worker Card (KPJ) program since February 2018. The Nakertrans and Energy Agency is targeting to distribute 23 thousand KPJs for workers in Jakarta by 2020.

"Things related to the assistance for workers are not eliminated, not disturbed by reduction in budget for the impact of COVID-19," he mentioned.
