Sooner or later, Jakarta Governor Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo would be inaugurated as the newly Indonesian President. According to latest news, the Presidential Decree on approval of Jokowi's resignation will be issued today or Thursday (10/16).
Home Ministry Spokesman, Dodi Riatmadji disclosed that his party had information related with Presidential Decree that would be issued by State Secretariat. "As far as I heard, Presidential Decree will be issued today," he said.
Jokowi`s Achievement During His LeadershipHe stated, if the decree is issued, Jokowi's status as Jakarta Governor will officially be revoked. This is because, he would take an oath as Indonesian President period 2014-2019 on October 20.
"Presidential Decree means an approval of Jokowi's resignation," he said.
Nevertheless, he cannot be sure whether the decree is actually issued or not. Because, until now, the Home Ministry has not received the letter yet. "This is just information and its certainty is still unknown," he said.
As for the information, his party received a recommendation letter from Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) on Monday (10/13). Whereas, DPRD's plenary session on Jokowi's resignation had been held on October 6. "Certainly, the letter will be issued prior to presidential inauguration which falls on October 20," he asserted.
