LH Places Jerry Cans to Collect Donation in Form of Used Cooking Oil in the Office

Jakarta Environment (LH) Agency placed empty jerry cans in its offices to collect used cooking oil. This program is not only done to protect the environment but also a part of social actions for the orphans.

Not only in form of money, but with used cooking oil, we can help those in needs

Jakarta LH Agency Counseling and Public Relation Section Head, Yogi Ikhwan said, used cooking oil donation program was initiated by Tunasmuda Care (T-CARE) Foundation to provide funding for its social programs, including 20 orphan learning houses and scholarship for orphans.

"We support every collaboration with various institutions that concentrate on solving environmental issues," he asserted, Saturday (9/5).

Sukapura Forms Movement to Overcome Waste Cooking Oil

In form of his support, jerry cans to collect used cooking oil will be placed in every rooms in LH Agency Office.

"Hopefully, employees in LH Agency can donate their used cooking oil from their houses and put it into the jerry cans thus later it can be processed into biodiesel," he conveyed.

He informed that used cooking oil that is thrown away carelessly could pollute the soil and clog waterways. Through this donation, he expected the community could participate to protect the environment while doing good deeds.

"Not only in form of money, but with used cooking oil, we can help those in needs," he mentioned.

As information, there are several social institutions in Jakarta that processed the used cooking oil and made it as a concept of social donations, including Rumah Kutub and Tunas Muda Foundation.
